Since the summer of 2023, classmates from Oberlin College and I have been working on an ambitious indie game development project – a cooperative comedy-infused blend of real time strategy and flight simulation.
Our game, Bugs With Afterburners, puts you in the role of an aphid commander charged with leading an elite turtle-borne strike force of cybernetic fighter bugs to wreck havoc deep behind enemy lines. Wits, cunning, and the judicious use of high explosives will be needed to pierce the enemy’s layered defenses and withstand their counter-attacks.
