Character creation in Elyrion follows the rules from the Stars Without Number: Revised rules, with the following exceptions:
Players wishing to play Alien PCs should use the rules linked at the top of the species pages. Playable species in Elyrion can be found at the Index of Sapient Species. Alien mechanics do not count as a focus.
Note that many species can only speak a subset of languages. Language/species compatibility is not yet indicated on the wiki; relevant lists will be provided by the GM at character creation. See babel augments for examples of how these restrictions can be overcome.
To the extent that Stars Without Number implies a split between magic and psionics, that distinction does not exist in Elyrion, either culturally or mechanically.
