Lorderon was among the first of the woodworlds to be colonized in the pre-Silence age. Though academic and industrial interest in the planet was significant, the nature of the Great Wood meant that few facilities could be practically placed on its surface. Most of the settlements found are those of elves and awakened living in small self-sufficient villages. Local artesans and workshops producing various forms of magitech and forest-derived luxury goods supply what little trade leaves Lorderon directly, though exchanges through the ley-line portals is far more extensive (Castovel and Yggdrasil's far more extensive starport facilities furnish much of the logistic needs of Lorderon’s manufacturers). It is widely famed for its many immaculate shrines, and is far more accessible to pilgrims than Niwen while retaining much of its sister world’s rustic feel.
The woods of Lordron are presided over by an enigmatic spirit known as Nyx. Famously an adventurous trickster, they are known to take marvelous journeys across their planet’s surface with select visitors or local denizens.
