Archipelago Atomics
Archipelago Atomics was a energy technology firm founded in 2324 by a small team of engineers led by Maciha Zagramen and based in Port Auren. Its flagship project, fusion dust development, was based on research sponsored by the Academia Arcanos' Port Auren chapter, and the firm was able to produce several viable prototype batches in 2334, which attracted a large number of sizeable contracts that allowed breakneck expansion. However, regulatory hurdles and reliability issues troubled later development. The company missed several important milestones and was forced to cancel many of its early orders. A series of near misses involving the activation of samples sealed its fate; Port Auren officials revoked its nuclear substances processing license in 2337, and the company was declared bankrupt early the next year. Its core IP and personnel were acquired by Sialumh Heavy Industries, and most of its machinery was sold at auction.
