Compact of Spacefaring Systems

The Compact of Spacefaring Systems, a.k.a. the C.S.S, First Compact or the High Steelforge Empire, was an empire in the immediate post-silence era, centered around the planet of High Steelforge. Traditionally, it is considered to have started in 2230, at the end of the Silence, and ended in the Compact Civil War with the destruction of Granthor II in <date tbd>. At its peak, it consisted of some 342 colonized planets forming a contiguous region of territory near the tip of the Elyrion galactic arm. It was mostly co-extensive with the present Nova Compact.
