Evelahiye 1749 is a particularly notable entry in the systems index not by virtue of any artefacts or valuables that remain, but rather its status as one of the origin points of one of the most significant threats to settling efforts across charted space. Originally one of the primary industrial worlds of the Kingdom of Oran, it was one of the most important suppliers of military equipment of the magical variety until it was rendered Silent. Where vast spires once stood, there lie fields of debris and smouldering scrap - still burning centuries after they fell.

When it was first released by the Silence, it was first thought that it might have been left intact - a great deal of organized magical activity had been originating from the system for quite some time now, a departure from the interference that usually plagued newly-released worlds. Indeed, it seemed as if ships were launching from the system and hurtling through newly-uncovered paths - but hours later, they would disappear, as if lost in fog.

Seven years following the release of Evalahiye 1749 from the clutches of the Silence, contacts with colony worlds in close proximity with the system began to disappear, one by one. One year a colony might be available for trade - the next, it would be as if they were never there. Only later, once a formal military attaché ventured close to the affected area, would the greater galactic community discover that Evalahiye had incubated a highly territorial, expansionist, animalistic consciousness within its arcanomechanical infrastructure: RAU-4, as identified by classified Oran technical documentation from former capital systems in the vicinity.
